Check out the great remodel and gallery at this newly renovated historic site in McPherson. The original water and electric plant was purchased in 1908 and experienced a fire in 1910, but continued to be used. With expansions in 1934, 1940, and 1947 the plant generated electricity for the region until 1995. Now renovated to become the Administrative Offices for the Board of Public Utilities, you'll find an awesome museum and the entire facility is a gallery of historic photos covering 70 years of the Utility, or events from the community. Best of all; you can not only enjoy the gallery at the B.P.U., you can also purchase prints from Douglas Photographic Imaging. DPI was honored to participate in the restoration, printing, framing and hanging of the entire gallery, and we're glad to offer those prints to you via our "Shoot Your Art" section.
